Computational Fluid Dynamics: Principles and Applications

This document contains corrections to the 3rd edition of the book published in March 2015 by Elsevier Ltd. (ISBN: 978-0-08-099995-1). The last update is from April 8, 2024. If you happen to find any more errors or omissions, please let me know. Thanks!

The C++ source code of the 2-D unstructured flow solver has been in parts modified (stream I/O) to compile on GNU/Linux. The corresponding Makefile has been added as well. Otherwise, the code is identical to the initial Windows version. Here, you can download the complete subdirectory (compressed with tar and gzip): unstr2d_cpp_linux.tgz.

Fortran versions of the 2-D structured and of the 2-D unstructured solver have a bug in the low Mach-number preconditioning for incompressible internal flows. The problem is missing initialization of the reference Mach number. Corrected subroutines are available for the structured flow solver and the unstructured solver.

Results of various flow simulations performed using the example software can be found here.
